Postdoctoral and research assistant (technician) positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Wenhui Li at NIBS. Our lab tries to understand entry processes of enveloped viruses. Our research focuses on biochemical studies of viral fusion proteins and identification of their interacting cellular receptors. We are also exploring new projects that describe molecular and cellular mechanisms of viral infection and immunity.
Applicants with solid training in one or more following disciplines will be preferred: biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, or microbiology/virology. Additional experience in bioinformatics, X-ray crystallography or chemistry will be a plus. The research environment in NIBS is exceptional and the salary and benefits are competitive.
