Job Description
The BM Expert will be responsible to manage external collaborations for BMD Center Shanghai, involved with generating Biomarker analytical tools and analytics for Novartis drug development programs. Focus is to supervise relationships with external partners to achieve high quality deliverables and data by ensuring sound scientific and technical work-orders, tracking of work conduct and evaluation of deliverables. Additionally, the person will be responsible to ensure appropriate contracts are in place and for internal tracking of contracts and related funding. Further it is expected the person performs vendor audits, pro-actively explores opportunities and contributes to scientific and technical knowledge base of BMD Shanghai. This activity will be performed in close collaboration with the scientific experts in the different work areas and with CNIBR Business Development and Quality Assurance.
Minimum requirements
• The challenging position needs a mature person, with strong scientific and technical background, paired with strong organization, multi-tasking and teamwork skills. The person in charge of this position needs creativity to find solutions within given limits, as well as acceptance of administrative demands.
• Experience in project management in a service environment, preferentially in Diagnostics or Bioanalytics (e.g. CRO) is a key asset.
• Experience with TQM and experience outside China are a plus.
• Work experience should be 4 years plus after PhD, preferentially with leadership experience. Educational Background in Medicine/ Diagnostics/ Biochemistry/ Bioanalytics. Further education in management and administration is a plus.
