Job:
-This position requires routine conduct, monitoring and the interpretation and generation of scientific reports for regulatory reproductive and developmental toxicity studies under OECD GLP principles according to OECD Guidelines.
- The Toxicologist must design/critically evaluate and interpret experiments, record, tabulate and report results and significant issues to inter- and extra-departmental teams via presentations and scientific reports/memos and risk assessments.
-The ability not only to plan short-term scientific studies, but also long range project planning is required. A strong knowledge of reproductive and developmental toxicology, animal physiology, and scientific study design is critical to the performance of this role.
- Must understand and follow established procedures and practices (GLP), ensure compliance with established procedures within function, and possess a good understanding of appropriate FDA, FMLH, ICH and OECD regulations and guidelines.
-This knowledge enables the constant need to evaluate and refine internal practice with respect to the changing regulatory environment and global needs.
-Strong verbal, written communication, English and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment are required.
Required Qualifications:
• PhD in Biology/Toxicology or Veterinary Medicine DVM or related science with 2+ years experience in pharmaceutical toxicology and reproductive/developmental tox.
• Strong academic training in reproductive and developmental Toxicology.
• Preferred qualifications include strong verbal and written English communication skills to effectively present and communicate scientific data, issues and conclusion;
• ability to work within small teams and in a matrixed environment;
• ability to organize and lead animal room technicians to scientific issue identification and high performance.
