MPPAgent (Underconstruction…)

MPPAgent(Membrane Protein Prediction Agent)是生科院生物信息中心自主开发的跨膜蛋白二级结构综合预测网站。您可以输入蛋白质序列(fasta格式)通过MPPAgent得到不同方法各自的预测结果，同时我们还提供了一个综合预测结果。目前综合预测服务还处于内部测试阶段，不久就会提供正式的网上服务。

MPPAgent(Membrane Protein Prediction Agent) is a combined prediction server developed by Bioinformation Center, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. With inputting protein sequence(s) and click “submit” only once, you can get results of different methods—that saves you a lot of time and energy. MPPAgent also gives a combined prediction result by Bayesian Combined Prediction(BCP) algorithm which not only integrates the advantage of different method, but also eliminates the unexpected preference to some kind of membrane proteins. Unfortunately, this service is currently under test stage in our center, and it will provide online service soon. Please be patient to wait…..

10/18/2001	Evaluation of individual prediction method
11/28/2001	Architecture and scheme of MPPAgent was determined
12/27/2001	Our paper on evaluation of performance of individual method was accepted
01/22/2002	BCP-a combined prediction algorithm was developed
02/09/2002	BCP results was compared with other individual method. Results show it is almost the best result in most cases.
03/12/2002	MPPAgent under test.
