Description:
Vaginal yeast refers to the presence of fungal microorganisms, most commonly Candida, in the female vagina. Under normal circumstances, a small amount of yeast is present in the vagina and does not cause any symptoms or infection. However, an overgrowth of yeast, particularly Candida, may result in vaginal yeast infection (also known as candidiasis), leading to symptoms such as vaginal itching, burning sensation, and abnormal discharge.
