- We delved into the intrinsic cellular components and transcriptomic signatures characterizing invasive micropapillary carcinoma (IMPC).Notably, we crafted a pioneering single-cell atlas of IMPC in human breast tissue, unraveling substantial heterogeneity predominantly driven by two distinct cell subsets: epithelioid cells and interstitial cells. Pseudotime analysis unveiled unique cell trajectories for IDC-NOS cells, epithelioid IMPC cells, and interstitial IMPC cells. Of significance, we found a significant positive correlation between KRT80 expression in IMPC and clinicopathological characteristics, such as lymph node metastasis and lymphatic vessel invasion. Additionally, high KRT80 expression was associated with shorter overall survival and disease-free survival times for IMPC patients in a multicenter retrospective cohort.
