Experiment ID Experiment name Experiment type Experiment protocol Date OEX003179 mRNA-seq of COVID-19 patients Transcriptomic Total RNA from whole blood samples was extracted using the RNeasy Plus Universal Mini Kit (Qiagen) following the manufacturer’s introductions. The quantity and quality of RNA solution was assessed using a Qubit Flex fluorometer (Invitrogen) and an Agilent Bioanalyzer (Agilent Technologies) before library construction and sequencing. RNA library construction was performed as described in the VAHTS Universal V6 RNA-seq Library Prep Kit for Illumina (Vazyme, China). Ribosomal, globin and RN7S RNAs were depleted using the specially designed probes (Vazyme, China). After final library quantification using a Qubit Flex fluorometer (Invitrogen) and quality control using the Bioptic Qsep100 to confirm the expected size distributions, all libraries (RNA and exRNA) were pair-end (150-bp reads) sequenced on the Illumina NovaSeq6000 platform (Illumina). 2020-04-27 - Runs
