Gram-positive cocci. Strictly anaerobic. Mesophilic. Non-Motile. Does not exhibit catalase, oxidase and indole production nor nitrate reduction. Positive for α-galactosidase, arginine dihydrolase, arginine arylamidase, and α-glucosidase and β-glucosidase. Habitat: human digestive tract.
