Facultatively anaerobic, non-motile, Gram-stain-positive, slightly curved rods or short rods or coryneform cells are formed. The peptidoglycan type is A5α. The fatty-acid profile contains major amounts of C16:0, C18:1 ω9, C18:0, and C14:0.
