Description and emendation
Original Description
expand / minimize
The order Hydrogenophilales was circumscribed for this volume on the basis of phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences; the order contains the family Hydrogenophilaceae. Description is the same as for the family Hydrogenophilaceae.
Emendation
Emendation 1
1: This order is re-defined following the circumscribing of members of this family to form the Thiobacillaceae in the Nitrosomonadales. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequences, comprises the Hydrogenophilaceae.
