General information
Description and emendation
Cells are Gram-reaction-negative, non-motile, non-spore-forming and coccoid to coccobacilli shaped. Catalase- and oxidase-positive. Microaerophilic. Major cellular fatty acid include iso-C17:0 3-OH, iso-C15:0, iso-C15:0 2-OH and n-C16:0. The predominant menaquinone is MK-6. Major polyamines are sym-homospermidine, spermidine, and spermine. The polar lipids comprise phosphatidylethanolamine and an unidentified phospholipid (PL1). The DNA G+C content is 45.6 mol%. The pattern of 16S rRNA signature consists of nucleotides at positions 173 (C), 418-425 (G-C), 466 (C), 600-638 (G-C), 632 (C), 832-854 (C-G), 1006 (C), 1122-1151 (C-G). The signature pattern must be considered tentative and should be updated as the number of sequences in this lineage increases.
