Cells are Gram-negative rods. Catalase-positive and oxidase-positive. The main respiratory quinone is menaquinone-6. Major fatty acids are iso-17:0 3-OH, iso-15:0, iso-15:1 and summed feature 3 (16:1 ω7c and/or iso-15:0 2-OH).

1: The major polyamine is sym-homospermidine; putrescine is present in minor amounts. The polar lipid profile contains PE, four unidentified lipids and two unidentified aminolipids in major amounts. A minor amount of an unidentified quinone is present in addition to MK-6.
