Cells are rods to cocci, non-spore-forming and obligately aerobic. Gram-stain negative, catalase-positive, oxidase-negative. Strictly heterotrophic. The predominant menaquinone is MK-6. The major fatty acids (>10% of total fatty acids) are iso-C15:0, iso-C15:0 G, unknown ECL 13.565 and iso-C17:0 3-OH. The polar lipid profile consists of phosphatidylethanolamine, an unidentified lipid, two unidentified phospholipids and three unidentified aminolipids. he DNA G+C content of the type species is 38.3 mol%.
