Cells are rod-shaped, Gram-stain-negative and strictly aerobic. Endospores are not formed. Catalase and oxidase were positive. Flexirubin-type pigments are absent. The major respiratory quinone is menaquinone 6 (MK-6). The predominant (>10%) cellular fatty acids are iso-C15:1 G, iso-C15:0 and summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω6c and/or C16:1 ω7c). The DNA G+C content of the type species is 34.7 mol%.
