Cells are aerobic, Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, non-gliding and rod shaped. Catalase-positive and oxidase-positive. Nitrate reduction test is negative. The predominant menaquinone is MK-6. The major fatty acids (>10% of the total fatty acids) are iso-C15:0, iso-C15:1 G and iso-C17:0 3-OH. The major polar lipids are phosphatidylethanolamine and two unidentified lipids. The DNA G+C content is 42.1 mol% (HPLC).
