Description and emendation

expand / minimize
Gram-negative, non-spore-forming rods and motile by gliding. Strictly aerobic. Catalase-positive and oxidase-positive. MK-6 is the only respiratory quinone. Carotenoid pigments are produced, but not flexirubin-type pigments. The G+C content of the type species is 46.5 mol%.
Emendation
