Original Description
expand / minimize
Cells are non-motile, non-spore-forming rods (approximately 2 µm in length and 1 µm in width), and are Gram-stain-negative and oxidase-positive, showing an oxidative metabolism. The polar lipid profile consists of the major compounds diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylmonomethylethanolamine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine and the unidentified aminolipid AL1 and unidentified phospholipid PL7. The quinone system is ubiquinone Q-10. In the polyamine pattern spermidine and putrescine are predominant. Major fatty acids are C18:1 ω7c and C19:0 cyclo ω8c. The DNA G+C content of the type species is 45.1 mol%.
