Able to grow at pH 5.5-8, at 15-35°C and in the presence of 0-3.5% (w/v) NaCl. The major cellular fatty acids are summed feature 8 (C18:1 ω7c/ω6c), C16:0 and C19:0 cyclo ω8c. Polar lipids include phosphatidylethanolamine, diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, an unknown aminophospholipid and some unidentified phospholipids. Meso-diaminopimelic acid is the diagnostic diaminoacid. Ubiquinone-10 is the predominant quinone. The DNA G+C content is 59.4 mol%.
