Description and emendation
Original Description
expand / minimize
Cells are Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, motile rods. Oxidase-positive and weakly catalase-positive. The major respiratory lipoquinone is Q-10. The major cellular fatty acids are C18:1 ω7c and 11-methyl C18:1 ω7c. The polar lipid profile contains phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, several unknown phospholipids and other lipids. The cell wall contains meso-diaminopimelic acid. The DNA G+C content of the type species is 68.9 mol%.
Emendation
Emendation 1
1: The diagnostic phospholipids are diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylcholine. The presence of phosphatidylglycerol or glycolipids is variable depending on the species. The G+C content of the DNA is 64.4–68.9 mol%.
