Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-motile short rods. Negative for catalase and oxidase. The major cellular fatty acids are C16:0, summed feature 8 (C18:1 ω7c or C18:1 ω6c) and summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c and C16:1 ω6c). The major polar lipids are phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol and diphosphatidylglycerol, as well as unknown aminolipids and aminophospholipids. The predominant quinone is Q-8. The DNA G+C content of the type strain is 49.8 mol%. Known habitat is associated with fungi.
