N.L. fem. dim. n. <i>Moellerella</i>, named to honor Vagn Møller for his contributions to enteric bacteriology, especially for Moeller media for the determination of lysine decarboxylase, ornithine decarboxylase, and arginine dihydrolase, that are widely used for the identification of <i>Enterobacteriaceae</i>.
