Etymology
N.L. neut. adj. <i>suncheonense</i>, of or pertaining to Suncheon, South Korea, from where the type strain was isolated.

isolated from a surface tidal flat (less than 5 cm depth) of Suncheon bay in South Korea.
Morphology
Cells are straight or slightly curved rods approximately 0.4-0.5 µm in diameter and 2.0-3.0 µm in length. Colonies on MA are yellow, circular and convex with regular edges.
