Etymology
L. masc. adj. <i>litoralis</i>, of the shore.
Ecology
Source
isolated from a tidal flat sediment in Ganghwa, Korea.
Morphology
Cells are non-motile rods (approximately 0.3-0.8 × 1.0-5.7 µm). Spherical cells appear in ageing culture. Cells contain carotenoids but no flexirubin-type pigments. On MA medium, colonies are circular, entire, convex, shining, opaque and yellow.
