Etymology
N.L. gen. masc. n. <i>gromovii</i>, of Gromov, in honour of B. V. Gromov, the Russian aquatic and marine microbiologist.
Ecology
Source
isolated from the sea urchin Strongylocentrotus intermedius, collected in Troitsa Bay, East Sea (also known as the Sea of Japan).
Morphology
Cells are non-endospore-forming, rods (0.4-0.5 × 2-3 µm), and motile by gliding. Colonies are circular, 2-3 mm in diameter, convex, shiny, orange and translucent on marine agar.']
