isolated from coastal seawater collected at China Sea (Changhua County, Siansi Township, XianGong South 4th Road), Taiwan.
Morphology
Cells are non-spore-forming, typically rods (0.3-0.8 × 0.6-6.2 µm) with rounded ends, non flagellated, and motile by gliding. On MA, after 1-2 days of incubation at 30°C, it forms small, circular, convex, and intense yellow-colored colonies (0.5-1.0 mm in diameter). Colony color may turn orange after prolonged incubation because of intense cellular accumulation of zeaxanthin.
