Etymology
L. masc. adj. <i>helveticus</i>, of Helvetica (Switzerland), from where the species was first isolated.

Source
isolated from fruit powder.
Morphology
Cells are motile coccoid rods (1.0 × 1.5-2.5 µm), occurring singly or in pairs. After 24 h aerobic incubation at 37°C on TSA medium, colonies are yellow-pigmented and convex.
