Etymology
N.L. gen. n. <i>voraii</i>, of Vora, named after V.V. Vora, a distinguished biotechnologist and founder director of the Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh, India.
Ecology
Source
isolated from a warm spring water sample collected from Assam, India.
Morphology
Cells are motile rods (0.3-0.4 × 1.5-4.5 µm), occurring singly or in pairs. Colonies on TSBA after 3 days of incubation at 30°C appear circular, yellowish-brown, glistening and convex, with undulated margins.
