General information
Name
Fulvimonas soli
Valid publication
2002
Etymology
L. gen. n. soli, of soil, the source of the organism.
Ecology
Source
isolated from a soil sample collected in October 1998 from the university botanical garden in Gent, Belgium.
Morphology
Cells are single rods (0.5 × 2 µm) and motile by a single polar flagellum, without spores or capsules. Deep-yellow, mucoid, low convex, translucent colonies, 2-3 mm in diameter and with entire margins, are formed on TSBA plates after 5 days at 28°C.
