Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic, and non-motile. The major respiratory quinone is Q-10 and the fatty acid profile contains summed feature 8 (C18:1 ω7c and/or C18:1 ω6c), C16:0 and summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c and/or C16:1 ω6c) as important characteristic components. The major polar lipids are PE, PC, PG and DPG.
