Cells are Gram-reaction-negative, strictly aerobic, rod-shaped and non-gliding. Catalase- and oxidase-positive. Indole is produced. The major respiratory quinone is menaquinone 6. The major polar lipid is phosphatidylethanolamine. The major polyamine is homospermidine. The major fatty acids are iso-C15:0, iso-C17:0 3-OH and summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c and/or C16:1 ω6c). The DNA G+C content of the type species is 30.0 mol%.
