Cells are strictly aerobic, Gram-negative, non-flagellated, non-gliding rods. Catalase-positive and oxidase-positive. Nitrate reduction is negative. The only menaquinone is MK-6. The major fatty acids (>10% of the total) are iso-C15:1 G, iso-C15:0 and iso-C17:0 3-OH. The major polar lipids are one unidentified lipid and one unidentified aminolipid.

1: The predominant polar lipids are phosphatidylethanolamine, one or two unidentified lipids and one or two unidentified aminolipids. The DNA G+C content is 30-34 mol%.
