Cells are rod-shaped, Gram-negative and facultatively anaerobic. Endospores are not formed. Catalase and oxidase positive. Flexirubin-type pigments are absent. The major respiratory quinone is menaquinone 6 (MK-6). The predominant cellular fatty acids are iso-C15:0 and iso-C17:0 3-OH. The DNA G+C content of the type species is 36.2 mol%.
