Source
isolated from Antarctic intertidal sediment collected from a site in the seashore area near the Chinese Antarctic Great Wall Station (Chinese name: Changcheng Zhan, located at Fildes Peninsula, King George Island, West Antarctic).
Morphology
Cells are non-flagellated, non-motile rods (0.4-0.6 × 1.5-3.0 µm) when grown on TYS agar at 20°C for 3 days. Colonies on TYS agar incubated at 20°C for 3-5 days are circular (2-4 mm in diameter), yellow (carotenoid) pigmented and convex with smooth surfaces. Gliding motility and flexirubin-type pigments are not detected.
