Etymology
L. masc. adj. <i>litoreus</i>, belonging to the seashore.
Ecology
Source
isolated from seawater from a seaweed farm of Geojedo on the South Sea in Korea.
Morphology
Cells are non-flagellated, non-gliding and coccoid, oval or rod-shaped, approximately 0.4-0.7 × 0.8-9.0 µm (a few cells longer than 10.0 µm may occur). Colonies on MA are circular, convex, glistening, orange-yellow in colour and 0.7-1.0 mm in diameter after incubation for 7 days at 25°C.
