Title: The Impact of NASH to Liver Transplantations With Hepatocellular Carcinoma in the United States.
Abstract: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most common causes of chronic liver disease worldwide.1,2 It is believed that about one fourth of the world population may have NAFLD.3 The Global Burden of Disease data suggest that NAFLD and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) are the main drivers of liver disease burden in most regions of the world, including that of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).4,5.
