Abstract: | Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease is a hepatic manifestation of systemic metabolic disorders, with a high prevalence. Moreover, it often coexists and evidently interacts with liver injury caused by a variety of viral infections in association with specific bacterial or fungal infectious diseases, and thus unitedly affect the intra-and extrahepatic diseases clinical outcome. The mutual effects, natural process, and extrahepatic manifestations of the two diseases combined coexistence are now elaborated here. |
