Related Drugs: | Bempedoic acid (ETC-1002) |
Mechanism: | ATP citrate lyase (ACLY) is a cytoplasmic enzyme that responsible for the generation of acetyl coenzyme A (acetyl-CoA) in de novo lipogenesis and cholesterol synthesis. ACLY inhibitor, alleviates high-fat diet (HFD) induced NASH in male C57BL6/N mice, including decreased body weight gain, improved glycemic control, reduced hepatic TG and total cholesterol (TC), lowered mRNA expression of inflammatory and fibrotic genes (Ccl2, Timp1 and Col1a1), and improvement in NAS score.5 |
