Motivation
Synthetic biology, an engineering application science for the redesign of living systems and biological processes, which can provide innovative solutions for challenging problems related to biomedicine, drug synthesis, recyclable chemical industry, environment and energy, biomaterials, and biological counter-terrorism faced during human sustainable development, is the main driving force for future biotech economic development.
Problems, such as lack of bioparts types, inaccurate characterization and description of bioparts, and incompatibility between bioparts in artificial systems or inconsistency between bioparts and chassises have become obstacles that must be overcome in the development of synthetic biology.
Therefore, collecting information and physical resources of bioparts to establishing a bioparts library for synthetic biology is a very important and urgent task in the research of synthetic biology.
