“Registry and database of bioparts for synthetic biology”is affiliated to Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, CAS, which aims to provide bioparts, microbial chassis and bioinformatics tools for synthetic biology community.
We encourage researchers store bioparts and microbial chassis that they created to “Registry and database of bioparts for synthetic biology”. We stated that intellectual property for these bioparts and microbial chassis stored in “Registry and database of bioparts for synthetic biology” completely belong to the provider scientists and we are responsible for safety storage of these bioparts and microbial chassis. Only after obtaining the permission of the provider scientist, we will distribute the strain to a third-party scientist. That is mean a MTA (MATERIAL TRANSFER AGREEMENT) signed by provider scientists are need before bioparts and microbial chassis are sent to recipient scientists. At the same time, we will take reasonable fee for these services from recipient scientists.
