About SAS
  • SAS is a platform of Spike Antigenicity for SARS-CoV-2. It can automatically update the latest strains timely.
  • It collects those mutated epitopes and antigenic drifting information of virus strains recorded in Global Initiative on Sharing All Influence Data (GISAID) database [1].
  • The validated epitope positions were derived from spike-antibody complexes in PDB database [2]. And the potential epitope positions were also appended via a latest method of B-cell epitope prediction tool, SEPPA 3.0 [3].
  • The antigenic drifting information can be interactively visualized and manipulated via antigenicity clustering tree and heatmap based on the antigenic similarity matrix suggested by CE-BLAST [4].
  • For better illustration, three benchmarking spike proteins were provided in color including the SARS-CoV-2 strain [5], the SARS-CoV strain in NCBI [6], and the potential bat original strain of BatCoV (RaTG13) [7].
  • SAS ID is encoded in three characters, with each representing a capital letter (from A to Z) or a number (1 to 9).
